AveXis, Inc. is open to the opportunity to engage with individuals and organizations via social media (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn). As a gene therapy company, we are dedicated to developing and commercializing novel treatments for patients suffering from rare and life-threatening neurological genetic diseases. However, there are strict regulatory and legal procedures we must follow when communicating via social media.

According to the AveXis community guidelines, we reserve the right to remove any content (including images, videos and links) posted by individuals on the AveXis corporate Facebook and LinkedIn social channels that include:

  • Violations of copyright or intellectual property of others
  • Mentions of misleading or deceptive content
  • Content that includes product or treatment options
  • Violations of Facebook and LinkedIn rules and privacy policies
  • Content that provides health or medical advice
  • Spam or messages not related to AveXis or its core focus
  • Content intended to recruit followers
  • Content containing language that is profane, defamatory, offensive, abusive, discriminatory, demeaning, disparaging or threatening to yourself, others or AveXis, Inc.
  • Personal, confidential, sensitive or nonpublic information (including email addresses and phone numbers)

We reserve the right to block or remove any user on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter who does not follow our community guidelines or the codes of conduct for the social platform. We also reserve the right to update our community rules or remove any of the posts or comments at the time.

We do not aim to store or use your social media profile unique ID, email or other personal details. Please view the AveXis Privacy Policy. However, in case of an adverse event or product issue you report, we would need to store and use information about you, such as your name, location, health-related information. This information is required to be submitted to the AveXis drug safety department ( and/or regulatory authorities.
